Kids & Teens CHILD CARE PROGRAMS

Play Center & Cool Kids ages 6 months-6th grade: While parents are enjoying our programs and services, their children are divided into age appropriate rooms that are monitored by well trained staff. Developmentally sound activities are fun and engaging. Play Center serves 6 months to 6 years of age, and Cool Kids serves ages 6 to 6th grade. This free service is offered to facility members with family or youth memberships. 2 hour limit per day (up to 8 hours/week).

Monday - Thursday, 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm Friday, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm Saturday, 8:30 am – 11:30 am

TEENS

Our teens have their own special place here at the Y. Our Teen Center offers pool, air hockey Xbox, computer lab and more! All events include free snacks!! Call the branch for days and times...

I.M.P.A.C.T: Explore performing arts through drama! Real life issues are brought to stage with depictions of teen struggles, awareness and most importantly, solutions!

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

Prime Time After School: Our after school program is offered at elementary schools. Our program is featured every day that school is in session. The program provides homework assistance, nutritious snacks, enrichment enhancements, arts & crafts, fitness components, social development and outside play in a safe, caring environment. Visit our website for forms, program info and participating schools. After School until 6:30 pm MEM & PRO: $65 a week

HOLIDAY & SUMMER CAMPS

We offer holiday & summer day camp programs for kids when school’s out! We provide a fun, safe and affordable environment for today’s youth to build friendships, expand their minds, build leadership skills and have some fun! Camps schedules correlate with the Fulton County and Atlanta public school calendar.

PARTNER WITH YOUTH

The Partner With Youth annual campaign benefits children and families by helping them participate in YMCA programs through scholarship funds. Currently, the demand for financial assistance is increasing. Please support this year’s Partner With Youth campaign and help make a difference in our community.

Health & Wellness THE COACH APPROACH

®

The COACH APPROACH ®, An Exercise Support Process A six-month program free for members ages 18+: YMCA exercise support process designed to teach new or returning exercisers how to start and stick with their personalized exercise program. Learn how to: • Kick the inactivity habit • Shape workouts around activities you prefer • Measure effects of exercise on mood, stress & energy • Stay on track even when your schedule throws you a curve ball! Schedule an appointment in the Wellness Center to meet with a wellness coach for a series of six,1-on-1 meetings at no additional cost!

GROUP EXERCISE

Members, ages 13 & older, may attend as many group exercise and water exercise classes as they wish, as a benefit of membership. No registration required! Members ages 9-12 may participate in select group exercise classes when accompanied by a parent or guardian (except for Group Cycling and Yoga).

PERSONAL TRAINING

FITNESS

Cardio Theater: Your total entertainment system will enhance your cardiovascular workout by viewing cable television, watching a movie or listening to music. You must bring your own headsets.

Fitlinxx Orientation free for members ages 13+: Fitlinxx is a computer interactive system that helps members to keep track of their workout. An orientation will familiarize you with the proper use and settings for our equipment. Schedule appointments in the Wellness Center.

Swim SWIM LESSIONS Group Lessons:

PARENT/CHILD LESSONS ages 6 - 36 months • 30 min.

Parent/Tot parents and tots ages 6-36 months: Songs, game playing and blowing bubbles. Water safety, adjustment skills and basic swim movements. SAT: 9:00 am

PRESCHOOL CLASSES ages 3-5 • 30-minutes

Beginner I (Pike)– Designed for new swimmers. Basic paddling/kicking skills, pool safety and learning to put their face in the water while blowing bubbles. Beginner II (Eel) – Can float on front and back with assistance, can swim 5 feet without flotation, can put face into water.

Advanced II (Starfish) Skills required – Can swim modified front crawl and elementary backstroke, can tread water. M/W or T/TH: 5:30 pm (beginners) or 6:00 pm (advanced) SAT: 9:00 pm (beginners and advanced) SUN: 12:30 pm (beginners and advanced)

Consists of three hours of instruction; 6-30 minutes, 4-45 minute or 3-1 hour lessons. Private (1 to 1): $90 Semi-Private: $120 (at least 2 in a class at $60 per person)

Arthritis Water Fitness- Designed for arthritis sufferers of all ages and other joint disease sufferers.

BASEBALL

Baseball coed ages 3-10: Players will be taught the fundamentals of baseball through drills and games. T-ball will be taught to the 3 - 6 year-olds, coach pitch baseball will be taught to the 7 - 8 year-olds, and 10 & under will be instructed to play traditional baseball. TENNIS

Tennis Lessons coed ages 4-adult: Throughout the 4-week sessions the participants will learn the basic fundamentals of tennis. Players will learn through a series of drills and games as they growto love the sport. September - May MEM: $40 PRO: $55

SOCCER

Soccer coed ages 3-10: YMCA soccer is designed to build elementary and intermediate skills, basic fundamentals and love of the sport. Practices once a week with games on Saturdays.
