837 A CHINESE WHITE JADE ‘BIXIE’ PENDANT QING DYNASTY OR LATER The two-horned mythical beast depicted crouching with its wings tucked at its sides, its body carved and incised with swirls, with a circular hole to its mouth, the stone with minor russet striations, 5.9cm.

839 TWO CHINESE CELADON JADE ANIMAL CARVINGS QING DYNASTY

Depicted in a recumbent pose gazing backwards, with its front left leg slightly raised, the mane, tail and feathering delicately incised with fine hairs, 10cm.

One formed as a seated monkey with its infant, with a large russet area in the stone, the other depicting a recumbent beast turning its head to sinister and gazing backwards with bulging eyes, the stone with minor russet markings and striations, 4.1cm and 5.5cm. (2)
