HIGH-RISE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGIN KYIV 2011
The task was to design residential area in Kyiv. Due to its urban location the area should hold at least 5000 residents. The idea is to concentrate housing in one huge building, and as a result to release space for green space. The structure includes transport system, parking, maintenance and entertainment units.
DIPLOMA PROJECT. LIBRARY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION IN KYIV 2012
This project is my final work for bachelor degree. I chose an area within one of the blocks in historical center of the city of Kyiv which had once been occupied by a market.
The conception of the project is mainly motivated by urban planning objectives:
In my project I solve objectives in following ways:
Avoiding high-rise site development Preserving the appearance, scale and nature of the buildings along the Vorovskoho and O.Honchara st Providing wide public space Providing pedestrian connection between parallel streets Providing green space
Most of the structure lays underground. The roof serves as a multifunctional public space isolated from the street traffic. The ‘canyon’ cracks through the structure and connects two streets with the pedestrian ramp (O.Honchara st. is 8 meters lower than Vorovskoho st). At the same time the ‘canyon’ provides the structure with daylight and creates green space.
DIPLOMA PROJECT FOR THE SPECIALIST;S DEGREE. EXHIBITION AND ENTERTAIMENT CENTRE WITH THE MUSEUM OF TRYPILLYA CULTURE 2013
The objective of my final work was to design an outstanding multipurpose exhibition center. It consists of exhibition spaces, museum, hotel and restaurant and huge open platform for mass events. The center is extraordinarily located on an island and has to be integrated into natural environment. Therefor I tended to provide an abstract design, which is more likely to bring in mind ruins of ancient civilization’s structures than a contemporary architecture.
