Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter & Multicultural Center host annual 3.0 & Freshmen Scholars Achievement Program
he Strong-Turner Alumni Chapter was formed in 1982 in honor of Walter B. Strong and Frederick C. Turner. They were the first African-American graduates at Arkansas State University. After a group of alumni saw that there was a strong need to implement programs conducive to AfricanAmerican needs and interests, the Strong-Turner Alumni
Chapter was formed. The annual membership is $25. Every spring semester, freshmen and upperclassmen with a 3.0 or higher are recognized for their academic achievement during the Strong-Turner 3.0 program and reception. Qualified students receive a special invitation to attend the program. For more information on the program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 870-680-4052. 1
