PROBLEM: Due to poor lubrication, the rear bushing on the upper balance shaft of Mitsubishi built Chrysler 2.0L engines galls to the shaft and spins. Repairing the damaged bore is costly and often requires another block. SOLUTION: This kit eliminates both balance shafts so the original block can be reused, saving money and ending future shaft problems. It also reduces total friction and improves oil flow to the head. Some vibration may occur at idle, but engine operation is unaffected by balance shaft removal.
