About Aspiro

Aspiro is the only dedicated youths organisation in Ireland commited to achieving a new vision for children and young people to engage in choral music. Aspiro provides young people with extraordinary choral music experiences and personal development opportunities. Aspiro offers a musical education of the highest artistic standards through the medium of choral music for young people in Carlow and surrounding counties, some of whom might never have had the chance to learn a musical instrument. Originally established as Carlow Young Artists Choir in 1997 Aspiro has established itself as a unique and ambitious choir, promoting a world class model for choral music education practice in Ireland.

There are four separate ensembles: • Aspiro Junior Ensemble (age

6/7-8/9) • Aspiro Girls (age 8/9-12/13) • Aspiro Male Voice Squad

(8/9-12/13) • Aspiro Youth Ensemble (12/13+)


Friends Scheme Over the years Aspiro has built up a large and dedicated audience.

The Friend’s Scheme exists to allow Aspiro followers to continue their support between performance projects and to provide Aspiro with a more sustainable method of fundraising to ensure long-term sustainability, organisationally and artistically.
