What a year! On the heels of two years of “out of this world” sales activity, 2022 brought a shift to the local real estate market; prices continued to rise in most areas (as much as 30%+ year-over-year in the Aspen Snowmass area), although the number of transactions dropped compared to the record setting years of 2020 and 2021. Fewer sales opened the door for listing inventory to begin to rise, and despite the fact that there are more choices on the market for buyers today compared to a year ago, it’s still an inventory deprived market relative to pre-COVID years.

Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty enjoyed yet another year as the #1 real estate firm in the Roaring Fork Valley (and beyond), and I’m proud of the accomplishments of our 180+ real estate professionals. Among numerous

other accomplishments: we set a new company record for rental transaction volume, represented the buyer for highest priced transaction of the year in Aspen ($60 million) and continued to connect an impressive number off-market transactions.

There are already signs that 2023 is starting off on a positive note for the local real estate market, and the bountiful snow this winter has kept the hotels, shops and restaurants busy (not to mention the ski slopes!). We hope you enjoy our latest report!
