The Lord Commands, Pam Obeys In Numbers 27, the Lord commanded Moses to commission Joshua the son of Nun to lead the people in the place of Moses: “You shall put some of your authority on him”. Moses obeys the command of the Lord: “Then he (Moses) laid his hands on him (Joshua) and commissioned him.” Volunteers and Friends, the Lord has shown me, after 10 years, that it’s time for me to start the process of enabling others He’s identified to eventually lead ASK. I will remain as Executive Director, but others are being trained to minister to the men and women we serve at CIM, CIW and the Fire Camps. More information will be given at the ASK 10th Anniversary Picnic - hope to see all of you there! .

To Pam:

Dear Pam:

Thank you so much for your Love and care for us guys in Prison! You make such a difference with just a smile. God picked the right person for the right job. The dinner was great, your people were great, you all made us feel like sons of Kings. I look forward to next year’s dinner as well. My mentor was a great fit for me as well . We talked and bonded rather easy. It did help that he’s open-minded and full of Gods’ Love. You did a great job and we are all better for having you around. Keep up the good work of the Lord and know we all love you. Every time I think of you and your husband, I smile at him because he knows it’s a fun ride of your lives for you both. Take care of yourself.

I would like to inform you that I am a Native American. And last month, most of my brothers have turned their backs on me. And they got together and I’ve been kicked out of the Native Spiritual Circle. So for my New Year’s resolution, I will better my connection with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will also attend AA and NA more often in this New Year. New Year— New Creature. From someone at CIM

Just a few lines to say Hi, because you know you’re doing good when you have problems; because you are going to be blessed immensely. Because when you’re doing good, the devil will gets on your tail. I enjoyed so much the visit—it is so much better. The only thing I missed was that I couldn’t hug you. But, I talked to the Lieutenant and he said you’re such a beautiful lady and that you’ll find a way to overcome all these obstacles in your way. I hope the superintendent understands that we need these kinds of relationships with the outside world. God Bless you and keep you until I see you again— it was wonderful and I love my little match—God Bless and keep you. M.—CIW

Your friend—L., CIM

***** Pam & ASK Mentoring, You are great to work for and with. Your passion for all of us (matches & mentors) is very evident every time I see you. I pray this ministry lasts until Christ comes again. Volunteer, S.

Berries are delicious, but they're also kind of delicate. Raspberries in particular seem like they can mold before you even get them home from the market. There's nothing more tragic than paying $4 for a pint of local raspberries, only to look in the fridge the next day and find that fuzzy mold growing on their insides. Well, with fresh berries just starting to hit farmers markets, we can tell you how to keep them fresh! Here’s a tip I’m sharing on how to prevent them from getting there in the first place: Wash them with vinegar. When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider probably work best) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge.

A king who did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all circumstances would always say “My king, do not be discouraged, because everything God does is perfect. He makes no mistakes!” One day they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the king. His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent the king from losing a finger. Furious and without showing his gratitude for being saved, the nobleman asked "Is God good? If He was good, I would not have been attacked and lost my finger." The slave replied: "My king, despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good, and he knows why these things happened. What God does is perfect. He is never wrong!" Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his slave. Later, the King left for another hunt, this time alone. He was captured by savages who engaged in human sacrifices. On the altar and ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages discovered that their victim did not have one of his fingers. According to them, only a whole person with all his/her parts intact could be offered to the gods. The king without a finger was deemed an abominable sacrifice for their gods. So they released him. Upon his return to the palace, the King authorized the release of his slave. He received the slave affectionately. He asked his slave, "my dear, God was really good to me! I was almost killed by the wild men, but for lack of a single finger, I was let go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did he allow me to put you in jail?" The slave answered, "My King, if I had gone with you on this hunt, I would have been sacrificed instead because I have no missing finger. Remember everything God does is perfect. He is never wrong. He made you keep me in jail so I would not be with you on the hunt." Often we complain about life, and negative things that happen to us, forgetting that nothing is random and that everything has a purpose. Every morning, offer your day to God, don't be in a rush. Ask God to inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, and ease your feelings. And do not be afraid. God is never wrong! You know why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows, because He never makes mistakes....... The path of God and his word are perfect, without impurities. He is the way of all those who trust in Him, as He says in 2 Samuel 22: 31
