Starting in September, the Cradle of Liberty Council Boy Scouts of America (COLBSA) will begin accepting new registrations to join packs and troops in Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery Counties. Local packs and troops will host open houses in September and October making it the best opportunity of the school year to sign up! *** Youth Poetry Movement

The Philly Youth Poetry Movement (PYPM) is a proud recipient of a $40,000 grant that will go toward establishing a permanent gathering space to run literary arts education programs for youth from around the Philadelphia area. The grant comes from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, as part of its Knight Arts Challenge and will fund a space that will offer free poetry and cultural workshops, homework tutoring, and life-skills mentoring. The Knights Arts Challenge is a matching grant, therefore PYPM has launched a campaign to raise $20,000 over each of the next two years. Those interested in supporting can donate atwww.pypm215.org.

The countdown to the 2011 FCA Camp season has begun! We are excited to announce this year’s theme, GAMECHANGER: Make a Play. A Gamechanger is someone who steps up and makes a play that ultimately affects the outcome of the game. God has called each of us to be Gamechangers for Him! USDA Rural Development Invites Applications for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects. Ayuda Community Center provides a free legal clinic twice a month (first and third Tuesday of

the every month) which provide free legal advice. The lawyers are experienced in all different types of law, including immigration, family law, housing consultation, real estate issues and criminal matters. Ayuda Community Center in partnership with the Philadelphia Christian Legal Aid Society, Ayuda’s Free Legal Clinic utilizes volunteer attorneys to provide free one hour consultations on legal matters to residents of the community.
