Could any one let me know the steps for using inspection type 09.

Hi,

Pls. find the necessary details for Inspection type 09 ( Recurring Inspection of Batches) as following:

Recurring Inspections for Batch Materials

Purpose

The system can automatically create inspection lots at predefined intervals for selected batch materials. You can plan such inspections by having the system monitor the date for a recurring inspection.

Generated by Jive on 2012-04-17+02:00 1

Inspection type 09 process

Recurring inspections are triggered by a report that you can execute manually or that the system can execute automatically (provided it has been planned as a background job). When recurring inspections are triggered automatically, the background job executes the report, which in turn selects the batches and creates the inspection lots according to your processing parameters.

The report does not consider, for example, storage locations with HU requirement. This means that the report cannot be used to generate inspection lots for storage locations that require HUs. Therefore, recurring inspections are not possible.

Instead, the Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation BIC_REC_INSPECTION is available via the Batch Information Cockpit for the BAdI BIC_FOLLOW_UP_ACTION. This BAdI implementation allows you to open recurring inspection lots.

Prerequisites

The system creates inspection lots automatically for recurring inspections if the following conditions have been met:

路 Each material to be inspected is defined as a batch material in the material master record.

路 An inspection interval is specified in the Quality Management view of the material master record.

Inspection type 09 process

· An inspection type is active for inspection lot origin 09 in the inspection settings of the material master record.

· The inspection settings in the material master record specify an inspection using a task list or material specification (if you want to record results for inspection characteristics).

A Next inspection date is specified for the batch in the batch master.

If you intend to trigger a recurring inspection manually, you have defined your parameters for the recurring inspection in the corresponding report.

To trigger a recurring inspection automatically, you have:

¡

Defined your parameters in the report program for a recurring inspection

¡

Saved the report as a variant

¡

Planned the variant as a background job

1.

¡

A recurring inspection is triggered:

Automatically by the system via a background job

Inspection type 09 process

¡ Manually by the user under Logistics ® Quality Management ® Quality Inspection ® Worklist ® Inspection Lot Creation ® Deadline Monitoring ® Trigger Manually

2.

The system selects the batches that meet the selection criteria.

3. The system processes the selected batches on the basis of your parameter settings in the report as follows:

Set Indicator What you should know

Only lot creation The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches when the next inspection date is within the opening period.

In a second run, the stocks are posted to inspection stock or the batches are blocked when the next inspection date is reached. This two-step process permits you to keep the stocks available as long as possible, while allowing you to begin the inspection.

To insp. stock at lot creation The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches when the next inspection date is within the opening period. When the inspection lots are created, it posts the batch stock to inspection stock. If an inspection lot already exists, the stocks are also posted to inspection stock and the inspection lot is updated accordingly.

Inspection type 09 process

Block batch at lot creation The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches and blocks the batches by changing their status to "restricted." If the batch status management function is not active, the stock is posted to blocked stock.

To insp. stock at inspection date The system posts the batch stock to inspection stock when the next inspection date is reached. If an inspection lot already exists, the system updates the existing inspection lot. If a lot does not exist, the system creates one.

Block batch at inspection date The system blocks the batch when the next inspection date is reached. If the batch status management function is not active in your plant, the stock is posted to blocked stock.

4. When the system creates the inspection lots, it also carries out the following activities:

a.

It assigns an inspection specification to the inspection lot.

b.

It creates or updates the quality level for the material (if applicable).

c.

It calculates the sample size.

d.

It prints out the inspection instruction and/or sampling-drawing

instruction

Hope this helps.

Reward if useful.

Hi

inspection 09 is for recurring inspection for batches, for that you can create inspection lot any time for same batch, For that you have to assigned inspection type 09 in material master assigned task list there in material master itself,

create inspection plan by QP01 where maintained usage 09 andstatus released.

if any query please come back

Hi Pravin,

Thanks for the reply. I am not able to run thos cycle. Could you forward the steps involved in this process right from material creation to ud.

Hi Deven,

MM01/MM02 Activate inspection type 09 at the time of material creation. AND enter the number of days in the field "Inspection interval" in QM view. This field indicates at what frequency in days you need to trigger the recurring inspection lot.

QA05 Define a variant for recurring inspection lot generation. Refer the below pasted link for the same.

[Related Thread|Recurring inspection problem; It will trigger the inspection lots according to the date of next inspection date in he Batch.

QP01 You need to keep a inspection plan ready to record results for this lot.

QA32 Record Results for the inspection lot. Perform UD for the lot.

I think you haven't read me last reply to this thread carefully. Where I have mentioned what to do if the lot is required to generated automatically??

Read the portion Under QA05 And revert if there is any doubts.

Hi Shyamal,

Thanks for the help. I have created the variant in QA05 as per your instruction. But the inspection lot is not created automatically, i have to run QA07 then only the lots are created.

Thanks, Deven

Hello, Devendra.

To create variant through QA05 will not enough. You need to schedule the job, and release them also. To check whether you have successfully scheduled the job or not. Run QA05, here you will be able to see a line item for the variant you have created. correct?

Generated by Jive on 2012-04-17+02:00 10

Inspection type 09 process

1} So select that line and click on the button "DISPLAY SCHEDULING", if the scheduling is not carried out, it will through the "Message no. 38001 - No jobs found in the display client" else will show the it will show "Recurring insp: job planning: list of scheduled requests."

2} To schedule the job, select the variant line, and click on the button Schedule, it will lead you to the screen Recurring insp: job planning scheduling; start time. here you need to define "Job start date" and "Batch job start time", then click on "Schedule Periodically" and enter the at what frequency you want to replete the job run. At the this frequency (e.g. if you select day 1) then it will run the job daily at the time you have entered at "Batch job start time".

3} Then replete the 1} to view your scheduling details. And the job is not released then release them else it will again not run and you will not have the lot.

hi

Assigned 09 inspection type in material master with task list tick.

create inspection plan by QP01 for your material. with usage 09 in header of your finished material.

then when your production done. create inspection lot by t-code QA01 inthat enter 09 inspection type there and create inspection lot. after that result record in qe51n t code, after that usage decision QA11. you can print this inspection result by QGA3 t code

Re: Inspection type 09 process Jul 22, 2008 2:25 PM

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the help. I have generated the inspection lot and done ud. But i want the inspection lot to be generated automatically.

Scenario:-

The client is using recurring inspection lot for the material with batch. the inspection interval given in the material master 15 days i.e. after every 15 days the system should create inspection lot automatically and the material is shifted to block stock. how to generate inspection lot automatically and shift the material to block stock?

regards, deven.

Hi Please 1. Use inspection type 09 in Material Master in MM02 with ins. with task list flagged 2. Create Inspection plan using QP01, with 09 and released status, also assign the inspection characteristics 3. Create inspection lot using QA01, 09 as inspection lot origin. 4. carry on the result recording using QA32 or Qe51n.
