We held an HBV education and recruiting session for undergraduate nursing students. We gave a presentation via PowerPoint, held a Q&A session, and distributed Know HBV brochures. Asian Pacific Liver Center - Vietnamese for Community Health Collaboration Screening
We held an HBV education session for college students from Vietnamese for Community Health (VCH), a health community service club dedicated to providing health services for the Vietnamese population in the Los Angeles area. We presented via PowerPoint, a Q&A session, and Know HBV brochures were distributed. Target audience: Undergraduate college students Community partner: Vietnamese for Community Health
We volunteered with the Asian Pacific Liver Center and collaborated with Vietnamese for Community Health (VCH) to provide free HBV screenings to a total of 94 residents in Westminster and VCH members. Know HBV brochures were distributed to each client. Team HBV Boba Sale
We tabled at the Service Fair that followed the volunteering events of Community Service Day. During the fair, we passed out brochures and educated any interested about hepatitis B. We also used this time to recruit new members. Target audience: Undergraduate students at UCLA Community partner: USAC’s Community Service Commission We sold Volcano milk tea with boba on the UCLA campus in order to raise funds for future campus and community outreach events. While selling boba, members also educated students about hepatitis B, passed out Know HBV brochures with the boba, and recruited new members. Target audience: Undergraduate students at UCLA 22
