AIT Christmas Party & Third General Assembly We had a great day last Dec 4 with around 100 members present Thanks to the Alpha-O Orange Santas with their President, Grace Bayang for leading and managing the affair. Likewise, let us thank Rhamir and Irene Uy of the India Group, our emcees, for the smooth flow of the program. The Young-once-upon-a-time Alphans who came as green elves were so cute.na cute. Napaginipan ko tuloy sila kagabi. I saw them complete with their striped green and red socks with Chito, the Santa Claus. They were having fun in a big gingerbread house, working together until the wee hours of the morning, preparing audit workingpapers for their clients. What an entertaining dream!. Indeed, the Alphans were the stars of the day. They came very early in green t-shirts. Then after lunch, instantly they became green elves. Then nawala na naman sila and surprised all of us when the ladies in their imported black boots (borrowed from their granddaughters) came in as Machos singing like the Hagibis while the men showed up in wigs and gowns, modelling to the tune of "Katawan, Katawan". They really brought the house down. They got the 1st prize in the competition which they donated to the fund for Geraldine "Dane" Oliva, the CPA who is sick with cancer. The Bravos in their Cory Yellow T-shirts came in full force with their colorful cone hats. They did a good fight as Tigers in the morning cheering competition singing "Deck the Hall" with the sounds "Grrrrr. . . Grrrr ......" During the afternoon competition they had Cynthia Tanda on the lead. She was really great singing and dancing at the same time to the tune of "Maligayang Pasko" ng OPM. and "We are the Reason." with the other members performing like pros as well. Tapos, It looks like the group really prepared a presentation with X'mas theme. Sila lang ang may San Jose and Virgin Mary. I think the Bravos deserve kudos for their presentation and a special award for being such an organized group. The Charlie Group with Gie and the Delta group with Rod joined forces and gave a good fight as cats in the animal cheering competition with the rhythmic singing of "Pasko na Sinta Ko" with "meow" sounds. Galing-galing ng rhythmic rendition. The Echo group came in peach. Jo Tayawa showed his dancing prowess twice: in a tango exhibition with wife Bing and during the competition with Sucylin Vero. Kaya lang, biglang naghanap ang waiter ng nawalang red table cloth and napkins in the other room. Naku, ginamit palang tapis ni Sucy at props ng grupo. In the morning cheering, the Echo horses with their "neigh. . .neigh. . . neight ...." sang "Rudolf the Rednose Reindeer"

AIT Christmas Party & Third General Assembly The Golf group came in purple and they were very cute acting like pigs with "oink-oink" sounds, singing "Jingle Bells". The group had the daughter of Vher and Tess Rivera, Veronica Therese, who at her young age is a singing sensation, rendering the song, "I Have Nothing", as an intermission number. The Indians came in their amazing gray t-shirts, then transformed themselves into red reindeers with xmas antlers for the parade of costumes. They won again the 1st prize in the animal cheering competition as monkeys with their rendition of " Silent Night, Holy Night" to the tune of "Ik-ik-ik" and "hu-hu-hu". That was a feat. Two in a row. Remember, they were the champions in the cheering competition during the 2nd general assembly at Intercon Hotel. They also won the 2nd prize of P1,000 in the xmas costume competition which they also donated to Dane. Oh! we had real fun dancing the "Chuga-chuga" dance, with the Foxtrots on stage , in their lily white t-shirt, for which they were given a special mention award. JR Villasin is a revelation. Para siyang si Piolo Pascual rapping and dancing with everyone following his steps and hand motions. We also had fun during the Christmas Carol community singing competition. Lumabas ang boses ng lahat, singing three lines of Christmas songs we have learned from childhood. We missed the juliet and kilo goups. of course, the hotel and lima groups from Cebu are excused. They had their own xmas party. And by the way, we now have a new group in Ormoc, the Mike_Yahoo_Group. Before the end of the year, we will have another group in Metro Manila, Nano_Yahoo_Group on Dec 10-11 and then in Laoag City, the Oscar_Yahoo Group come Dec 20-21.. Thanks to everyone who donated goodies and clothings for Dane. The AIT staff will try to locate their house and deliver the money and goods to her before Xmas day. 2010 is a great year for all of us! Let us praise and thank the Lord for all our blessings! Merry Xmas to one and all! Estelita A. Caleon-Aguirre AIT President
