a Fluid Reality
rowing up in New York City, I was exposed to graffiti at an early age. At the time, graffiti was more confined to the underground, while the highways and streets were less blemished than they are today--although that’s changing. I recall riding the old subway cars as a young child, back when they were heavily covered with layers of ink and spray paint. It seemed a scary, albeit alluring place where the lights flickered randomly and the inside panels were dominated by graffiti scrawl. It was here that the genesis for my graffiti life occured. From that point on, I engendered an acute curiosity for the art of graffiti.
