Architectural studio four and five focused on; ESTABLISHING culture in the city

}

PART I

IT ALL STARTED IN THE LANDSCAPE EVANDALE PARKLANDS AND THE GOLD COAST ARTS CENTRE

{a landscape f o u n d wanting} a film, a study (through notation) and a device in the landscape

A PLACE FOR ACTIVITY, FOR LEISURE, FOR CONTEMPLATION AND FOR GATHERING IS NEEDED

NEXT, AN ARCHITECTURAL EXPLORATION {the

arts centre itself provided my foundations} A

LIBRARY AND A COLLECTIVE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE WAS SPECULATED

a place to be seen or to hide; to perform or to practice; a place to listen but is never silent.

the architectural exploration;

AN OPPORTUNITY

Architecture studio 5 examined speculative proposals for the Gold Coast Arts Centre Precinct. This proposal used the existing fly-tower as the base for a musical library;

an exis tin g

as a space for musical collaboration became my answer to establishing culture at evandale .

A speculation A speculation

It’s not solely about getting to the destination, it’s about experiencing our neighbourhood, it’s about the journey and it’s a lifestyle.

Bond University would be key in the proposed ‘Sunrise Ride’, which connects Robina Rail station to Miami, with a variety of pit stops along the route

Aerial image of the proposed location of the bicycle facility..

As we desired to expand the brief and sretch the idea of a cycling culture across the coast, instead of just focusing on the Bond University Campus. A holistic approach, with an outcome which reaches into the depths of the campus..

THE RESULT

The brief was expanded further as we worked on a design which incorporated commercial and social aspects, strengthening the of the hub.STUDENT PRODUCT PRODUCED BYallure AN AUTODESK
