Local teens raise support for girls overseas Two Danville High School seniors plan to host a concert to raise money to send to girls in Cambodia caught in sex trafficking. Danville, IN May 23, 2009 -- Grant Koenig, 18, and Tyler Yentes, 18, plan on organizing a concert at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds for local bands to benefit girls in Cambodia caught in human trafficking. The event will run from 4 pm to 10 pm. Koenig and Yentes have recently established an organization called “Love Can’t be Baht” in attempts to continuously raise money for these girls by selling merchandise at concert venues. So far the duo has raised over $3000 in efforts to stop this fast spreading phenomena. Featured local bands include Deadly Premonition, The Final Hour, News From Verona, and Ironsides. Their merchandise currently includes Love Can’t be Baht t-shirts, stickers, and recently added scarves hand-made by just a few girls who have already been rescued from sex trafficking in Cambodia. For additional information on this event or Love Can’t be Baht please go to myspace.com/lovecantbebaht or contact Tyler Yentes at 317-407-5905.
