Clayville Fun-D Day
Saturday Sept. 5th
Have you noticed how great Clayville looks? All of the work has been done by volunteers. A Pleasant Plains Historical Society has been formed to proceed with the restoration of Clayville. On Sat., Sept. 5, there will be an all-day fund-raiser with fun for everyone. A car cruise-in will begin at 10 am. Several antique tractors and motorcycles are also expected. Games and activities for kids will go on all day. Food will be in abundance with the Boy Scouts selling lemonade and popcorn, the Lutheran Men cooking hot dogs, and the community club fixing barbeque and pork wings on a stick (who says pigs don’t fly?) A highlight of the day will be a Western Gun Show. At 5:30, Jim Davis will call for an old-fashioned square dance, with Judy, Lois and Friends providing the music. At dusk, the movie “McClintok”, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara will be shown outdoors. Bring your lawn chairs and appetites for a day of fun!
