About North Mountain Park & The Nature Center — Hours & Overview • North Mountain Park is open sunrise to sunset, year-round • Nature Center is open Monday—Friday | 8:30 am—4:30 pm The North Mountain Park Nature Center is located next to Bear Creek at 620 N Mountain Ave in Ashland. The Nature Center offers a variety of programs and interpretive exhibits that teach about local natural and cultural history and sustainable living. Visitors can also enjoy the park’s Demonstration Gardens, nature trails, pavilion, picnic and play areas.

Scholarships Available A limited amount of scholarship money is available to all ages for classes and programs through the Ashland Parks Foundation. To obtain a scholarship application, please call the Parks Administration Office at 541-488-5340.

Discovery Kits Help You Explore the Park! Discover aquatic insects, learn the secret behavior of birds, become a geologist for the day, or explore owl pellets. Discovery Kits are ideal for children ages 6 – 11 and accompanying adults. Kits may be checked out for a $3 fee for up to 2 hours during the Nature Center’s hours of operation. Make a day of it – bring a picnic lunch, check out a Discovery Kit, and take time to enjoy the park.

The pavilion at North Mountain Park is available for private special events such as birthday parties, receptions, meetings, picnics, and family gatherings. The fee is $55 for 4 hours and a $75 refundable security deposit is required upon booking. Please call 541-488-5340 to make reservations.

Leave Your Mark at the Park—Buy a Brick! Help support the North Mountain Park Natural Area and Community Programs by purchasing an engraved brick to be installed in a walkway around the North Mountain Park Nature Center. For a $50 donation your brick can display the message of your choice engraved on a bronze plaque inset. For more information, call the main Parks Administration Office at 541-488-5340.
