The importance of relationships Relationships, love them or hate them we all have them. Whether it be a relationship with another person, a relationship with an object or a relationship with a business. Relationships are here to stay, good or bad, so make the most of them. Most businesses value the relationships they build with their customers/clients, this is particularly so in the real estate sector, in fact I could go one step further and say without good relationship building skills, a real estate sales person will struggle in the market place.

Control your mortgage Finesse Finance mortgage broker John Moore said when talking to banks, borrowers need to ensure they can make extra payments if they desire.

However, handling debt responsibly can ensure it does not take over your life.

And they need to understand the exact product they are signing up to.

One of the worst debts to have is on your credit cards, this will often have higher interest rates than other loans. A good strategy is to pay off the sums before interest is charged, and wipe any long-term debt on your credit card as soon as possible. Mortgage debt is at more reasonable interest rates, but a housing crisis and increasing property values are seeing mortgages skyrocket to high levels. And interest rates have increased substantially in the last year. The lowest two-year fixed rate mid February was 4.79 per cent, compared to 4.15 per cent six months ago. While mortgages are a great tool for helping people get ahead in the property market, it is important to keep control and not end up paying more interest than necessary. Imagine if you could save $100,000 in 10 years, just how valuable that extra money could be for you and your family.

Minimum weekly repayments for a $300,000 loan for a term of 30 years at an interest rate of 6.25 per cent, are $426. Increasing this by an extra $100 contribution after five years, to $526, results in a time saving of eight years and seven months, and an interest saving of $106,464. Shah said paying credit and store card debt on time to avoid huge interest rates and penalties was important, and to start saving, ideally making a habit of this from an early age.
