Mitre 10 MEGA Ashburton, has a vacancy in our very busy Building Supplies department. This is a full-time position and will include one weekend day. This position involves working in a sales role serving our large customer base of both Trade and DIY customers. Experience in building materials or interest in DIY would be preferred, but not essential as full training will be given.

Five Star Beef, owned by ANZCO Foods, is based near Ashburton and is the only large scale commercial cattle feedlot in New Zealand, producing high quality grain finished beef, with a standing capacity of up to 20,000 head. We are looking for an experienced general hand to join our team. This role covers the care and handling of incoming and export cattle, processing and induction, cattle drafting, feed mixer-truck operation and maintenance, and general duties throughout the yards and feedlot.

The successful candidate will have experience with handling livestock and knowledge of cattle farming operations, as well as some experience and aptitude for operating machinery, and carrying out general maintenance. You will be conscientious, reliable and able to work effectively within a small team and also independently when required. There is a requirement to work rostered weekends (approximately one in three).

Key responsibilities will include: • General yard duties including assisting in the intake and despatch functions. • Assisting and operating a seed mixer and seed treatment plant • Seasonal field work.
