Community Noticeboard ROAD CLOSURE PROPOSAL Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic to allow the following: CJM’s Events Limited, for the purpose of holding Ride the Rakaia event, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. Road proposed to be closed: • RAKAIA BARRHILL METHVEN ROAD between Baker Road and Rakaia Domain • RAILWAY TERRACE EAST between Rolleston Street and Main South Road (SH1) Period of Closure: • 9.00am and 3.00pm on Saturday, 22 February 2020 • 6.00am and 8.15am on Saturday, 22 February 2020 Objecting to the proposal by 4.00 pm on 24 January 2020.

EA Networks Centre, for the purpose of allowing a Kids Triathlon, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. Road proposed to be closed: • MCNALLY STREET, from Robinson Street to McGregor Lane • McGREGOR LANE, entire Lane Period of Closure: From 7:30am until 12:00pm on Sunday, 29 March 2020. Objecting to the proposal by 4.00pm on Friday, 21 February 2020. Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing or email to Ashburton District Council. CLOSURE OF ROADS

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic to allow the following: Festival of Pipe Band Music to hold a Street March the following roads will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic (with the exception of emergency vehicles) for the period indicated hereunder. Roads to be closed: ELIZABETH STREET, from Walker Street to Grigg Street, GRIGG STREET, from Elizabeth Street to Philip Street, PHILIP STREET, from Grigg Street to Wills Street

Although the health risk is small, the Ministry of Health recommends you run a mugful of water through your drinking water tap each morning before use to remove any metals that may have dissovled from plumbing fittings. The Ashburton Multi Cultural Trust Inc., for the purpose of allowing Multi Cultural Bite to be held, the following road will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the following period: Roads to be closed: EAST STREET, between Havelock Street and Wills Street Period of closure: From 7.00am until 5.00pm on Thursday, 6 February 2020 (Note that Havelock Street will not be closed until 8am).

RUBBISH & RECYCLING – Waitangi Day Collection

The Ashburton Resource Recovery Park will be open Thursday 6 February, 2020.

M Carol Johns, for the purpose of allowing Waitangi on East to be held, the following road will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the following period: Roads to be closed: EAST STREET, between Havelock Street and Moore Street and at the intersections of East/Tancred Street, East/Burnett Street and East/ Havelock Street and East/Cameron Street, Ashburton are also closed. Period of closure: From 8.00am until 5.00pm on Thursday, 6 February 2020 (Note that Havelock Street will not be closed until 8am). It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit to use the roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
