Off duty, he’s a normal guy Invisible to most, But Spiderman keeps soaring high Without the need to boast...

His super strength and spider-sense Will help him save the day, Perhaps to gain him extra friends Before he flies away!

So watch out, all you criminals!

I’m celebrating National Dance Day but I’m not here to dance, I’m here to rap! So here it goes . . .

Clap your hands y’all, clap your hands y’all okay, okay it’s national dance day and I’m about to bring us back to the 60’s all the way to the 2000’s - when I start throwing out songs just get up and clap your hands because I’m sure you’re going to remember some of these songs and dance.

Now don’t stand a chance thinking you can’t dance everybody can dance...

The Poetry

CHAPTER 001

of Hip Hop I found out that literacy comes from poetry, lyrics, and musical cultural genres like rap, hip hop, and music that can have an impact on an individual. Students like music that can have an impact on their favorite singers’ and rappers’ lives - including events that are happening in the world. According to the article, “The Poetry of Hip Hop: A Playlist For Your Classroom,” it states: “Queen Latifah has expanded people relationships with words since the 1970s. Young poets and songwriters explore diverse themes that youths can relate to, in ways that they can connect with.” ~ Miguel Nunez

What I found out about the poetry of hip-hop - hip-hop isn’t just about rapping and rhyming but also graffiti painting, the culture, and dee jaying. Hip Hop’s inception was in 1970s with diverse people involved, like young poets and songwriters. Hip Hop is complex and some Hip Hop music content isn’t suitable for some audiences because of the explicit lyrics but they also make it clean. It blends old, classic and new to bring a new sound. Hip hop is still empowering and uplifting with the messages they convey. Quest, Queen Latifah, and Nas are all part of Hip Hop. ~ Albertha

This particular one is an artistic representation of how I felt going through college. I have my kitty in the picture because he was everything to me (he’s since passed away).

The picture of myself in there is a representation of me staying up late at night, in pajamas... tired from studying... but having to continue the next day.

The text in the background represents all the feelings and emotions I had all the time going through school as I pushed to get it done.

Help... Stress... Expectations... Obligations... Failure...

Patience... Strength... Knowledge... Positive & Negative.

That’s what is required to be successful.

Remembering the “Why?” and “Why am I doing this?” is what will push you through the hard times.
