Dear Shri Arvind Limbavali, I thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to visit our Foundation and share some of the initiatives taken by you to strengthen the Higher Education system in the State. I was indeed delighted to hear some of your initiatives. We are happy to learn from newspaper about the passage of Azim Premji University Bill, 2010 by the Karnataka Assembly and the Legislative Council. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your support in steering the enactment of the first state private university in this part of the country. I also take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to the universal quality if Education in Karnataka and across India. We believe that Education is the real gateway for a `just, humane and equitable society’ that is envisaged by our constitution. On our part, our endeavour is to run the University in a manner to reach out to the talent that exists in rural and urban India and provide equitable opportunity to contribute to the social and economic development of our nation. We will make every effort to ensure that this University will make the State of Karnataka proud in terms of its uniqueness and leadership in creating new knowledge and talent as well as transforming existing talent in the Government education system and outside.
