Lights to Houses as well to streets!
ost of the places in Mahadevapura in 2008 did not have street lights, even electricity lines. However, Arvind Limbavali succeeded in providing quality electricity, power connections and street lights. Rural and Urban-both areas get the same preference.
All main roads, small streets, pathways are provided with lights, so that people can walk without fear. Important roads have been provided with sodium lighting system both sides and lighting is ensured. Beluru Ambedkar Nagar never had lights since independence! Unfortunately their only source of light was the light of the evening flights as this area is adjacent to HAL airport. Limbavali’s efforts have brought lights to the streets as well to the houses. All roads in the constituency have automated control panels to ensure the control of wastage of electricity The rural area of Mahadevapura is supplied the same quality of electricity as in Bangalore. This ensures quality of supply, as well as uninterrupted electricity to rural areas also. 153 power transformers have been installed in rural areas Underground cables have been laid-down to supply uninterrupted power to EPIP and surrounding areas Two pole mounted transformers standing menacingly in the city area have been suitably shifted away from pathways and single pole transformers are installed Cash counters at Varturu to help-out public to pay electricity bills Customer care centre at Whitefield. Installation of 100 MWA transformer in 400/220 KW grid at Hoodi is in progress. As well, 200/66 KW GIS station installation at EPIP is under way. By this people of the area will get quality electricity. Works and Maintenance station has been started at Kadugodi in 2010, which fulfils the needs of customers of the areas which were in the rural limits of Hoskote earlier.
