DANCE TO DONATE Ballet Nouveau Colorado hosts DanceAThon to raise money for scholarship fund So, you think you can dance? Take the chance to show off your skills with other dancers for the chance to raise money for the scholarship fund at Ballet Nouveau Colorado. Ballet Nouveau Colorado is hosting its first annual DanceAThon on May 14 in order to raise money for those who want to dance but don’t have the means to afford the classes. Here’s how it works: a student or individual will have a sponsor (can be a parent, company, etc…) that will have the chance to donate a certain amount of money for however long their dancer can last! This is a timed “danceoff” so we will see who can outdance one another! So what do you get if you’re one of the last ones? You will have the chance to receive a goodiebag with tickets to one of BNC’s company shows, a nail polish kit and many other exciting treats! Interested? Call BNC at 303.466.5685 to register. Founded in 1992, Ballet Nouveau Colorado has been offering educational programs and quality dance training to the North Denver area. About BNC Mission Statement Ballet Nouveau Colorado's company, school and community programs are dedicated to enriching lives through innovation in dance. Values Statement At Ballet Nouveau Colorado, we believe that excellence in dance begins with the dedication of each individual. We pursue our mission with the highest level of passion and integrity and are responsible to our students, audiences and community. We believe that a healthy and thoughtful foundation in classical ballet develops discipline and provides the basic
tools needed for the exploration of new possibilities in our art form. We value collaboration, creativity and innovation in all of our pursuits, and we believe that dance should be an enriching and fulfilling experience that is available and accessible to all. Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC) was founded in 1992, offering quality dance training and educational programs to youth in north metro Denver. Ten years later the organization established a professional dance company, creating a three‐pronged approach to providing great dance to the Denver metro area. In 2007, Garrett Ammon and Dawn Fay took the artistic helm of BNC and launched the organization onto the national scene. BNC has quickly become known for presenting work that is both artistically rich and highly accessible. Over the past three years BNC’s innovative programming has garnered local and national attention, including being named 25 to Watch by Dance Magazine. BNC’s three core values of community, collaboration and creation, along with its mission, vision and values inspire and shape every aspect of the organization. BNC is sponsored in part by Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, SillTerHar Motors and Denver Ballet Guild.
