Art on the Street Aligned and on Point Sandy Friedman Colorado Springs, CO Location: SE Corner of Chester St. and S. Public Rd.; All State Office Material: Ceramic and Steel Price: $ 3,900 Artist Statement:  The environment of Colorado and the Southwest significantly influences my work. I draw from the energy of our environment - the mountains, sky, weather, plains, grasslands, wetlands and our urban environments.  My sculptures represent the energy found in totems and the interaction of the negative spaces created by the sculpture's shapes. These represent moments in time.

"Love Is The Answer" is my response to the gun violence seen across the world and specifically in Colorado.  "Aligned and On Point" is the energy of a dancer on point.
