ARTSeast March 2014

Arts at Pulham School At Pulham Primary School we are starting to make plans for Arts Week 2014. The School achieved Artsmark status in the summer of 2013 following an inspirational Arts week. The Arts are a crucial part of school life and we value the positive impact on children’s learning. We are currently working on a whole school mural which encompasses the school philosophy of ‘I am unique, together we are awesome!’ For this project all the children in school designed a ‘unique’ fish to make up the body of an ‘awesome’ fish! It also provides a valuable link to the Christian values that are at the heart of our school. The work demonstrates the individuality of each child and the progression in artist skills across the school. For Arts week in June this year we are utilising local talent and working with artists in the community. We already have a potter, textile artists, a stain glass artist and traditional dance activities planned and BBC Voices are sending a film crew to work with the children to film the week!
