Articulate Body Movement for Actors For those who perform or act (which is all of us, to some degree), the body is your instrument. It is necessary to have a well-tuned and prepared instrument in order to fully engage with your craft. In this workshop series, we use variety of physically based techniques to develop the imagination, preparedness, and physicality of the performer. We work to understand the force of gravity on the alignment of the body by investigating a specific movement series. We cultivate the creative body through playing with rhythm, design and intensity in individual and group improvisation. We explore intention, spatial sensitivity, and physical feeling. This workshop is part of process of building a corporeal vocabulary or language that is essential to the expression of an actor or performer. Come play! Porter Witsell - $68 - Tuesday, 6:30-8pm, Oct. 25-Nov. 22
