*Recently there has been a lot of interest in metabolites during toxicological testing. This subject became highly publicized upon publication of a paper in 2002 by Baillie, et al., titled “Drug Metabolites in Safety Testing” which has been commonly referred to as the MIST paper. Recently (June 2005), the FDA issued a draft guidance on this subject.
