ZANCAN

Zancan, a generative artist hailing from Bordeaux, France, has dabbled in both painting and programming. By combining his skills as a traditional oil painter with his expertise in computer coding, he has created a unique style of “figurative-generative” art that pushes the boundaries of graphic expression.

Zancan draws inspiration from his digital artworks and pen-plotter drawings, which not only rely on technology for their creation and exchange but also serve as a reminder of the crucial connection between humanity and the environment. Through visual symbolism, Zancan aims to raise awareness about pressing environmental and social issues. His acclaimed collections “Garden, Monoliths” and “The Lushtemples” are centered around using mathematical equations and programming code to recreate natural forms, and have achieved great success as top-selling works on the Tezos blockchain.
