Artelibro-Festival of the Artbook publishing and communication policies, The national press has been presented the event “Artelibro Festival of the Art Book” which will take place in Bologna from 17th to 19th September 2004 in the prestigious centre of Palazzo Re Enzo e del Podestà and elsewhere in the city. The idea of launching “Artelibro” comes from both the great public and the professional world’s growing interest in the art world. Witnesses of this are the many exhibitions and artistic events which have as protagonists and working in synergy public authorities and private enterprises. Also architecture and fashion are today closely linked to the art world, and the specialized book industry of these sectors proves it. “Artelibro” wants to be an event of great cultural popularization and of professional exchanges among editors – big and small, Italian and foreign, all highly qualified – and other operators of about 90 exhibitors important on a national and international scale, enthusiastic about the peculiarity of the event, unique in Italy, which will be a chance to compare the several

The Festival of the Art Book will be characterized by many collateral events proposed by the promoters and by boards and institutions which, in different roles, support this initiative, by the exhibitors and the members of the scientific Committee. If Palazzo Re Enzo e del Podestà will be the heart of the Festival with an admission free exhibition-fair, for the visitors, during the three-day event, will be presented books, round tables, conventions for the experts, conferences, debates, workshops, conversations and meetings of wide popularization; exhibitions concerning art books and artist’s books; workshops for children; initiatives for the secondary and high schools which will take place, in addition to some halls and the courtyard of Palazzo Re Enzo, in other places of the city put at disposal of the Institutions supporting the Festival.
