With ‘Big Mouth’, I am all of it. The sass, the crass, the erudite and more than that, aware. Aware of the language used to quiet me down. ART HOUSE GALLERY GROUP EXHIBIT: “LOST, THEN FOUND” Part of the 29th Annual Jersey City Art & Studio Tour (JCAST) Reception: Friday October 4th, 6 - 9pm | Open times for JCAST are Sat. & Sun. 12 to 6pm

Artemisia’s Intent

Originally premiered at FringeNYC with subsequent tours, this piece is now presented as an Art House Mainstage Co-Production. “...the most purely delicious production… relentlessly inventive…I began to marvel at Ms. Salerno’s embrace of limitations…a paragon of Fringe form.”-The New York Times

A group exhibition evoking the literal and figurative meaning of having been lost and then found from the self or from another source.

ARTEMISIA’S INTENT | Created and Performed by The Anthropologists October 18th & 19th

ART HOUSE THEATER THE BOX SHOW | Written and Performed by Dominique Salerno Performances October 4th, 5th, 6th

Winner of “Best Solo Drama” (FRIGID Festival 2018), Artemisia’s Intent delivers a captivating physical performance to unearth the life, work and words of 17th century painter Artemisia Gentileschi. Inspired by every proclamation of ‘me too,’ The Anthropologists craft a startling portrait of a woman caught at the intersection of power, assault, and art.

1 Woman. 30 Characters. All Inside a Box: In this hilarious solo show, each time the doors of this small, human-woman sized box open, the audience discovers a new reality:

“Artemisia’s Intent is a solid, timely piece” -Theatre is Easy

“Your Move Dance Festival just finished presenting excellent work, this time at the gorgeous Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre in Jersey City... Too often one wonders whether or not all the hard work that goes towards putting on a concert is worth it. Ladies, it was worth it. ART HOUSE GALLERY

Little Wing | Adapted/Directed by Christopher Rashee-Stevenson, Theatre of War | Work-In-Progress presentation February 14, 15, 16

Lane O’Shea | February 8th - 16th

Little Wing is a startling theatrical exploration of survival and self-preservation adapted from Octavia E. Butler’s final novel, “Fledgling”. Combining found text, objects, 70s Blaxploitation films Blacula (1972) and Ganja & Hess (1973), and movement, Little Wing is an existential vampire dramedy pushing the limits of what it means to be human and just how far one is willing to go to completely purge oneself of ignorance and confusion.

“My work is an effort to capture the essence of the enduring power of connection that we all share.” - Lane O’Shea
