Art Nova 100, lanciata nel 2011, è un'esclusiva piattaforma che scopre e promuove giovani artisti che hanno la possibilità di partecipare alle attività di Art Nova 100: mostre e forum sia in Cina che all'estero, così come un programma di promozione dell'artista attraverso molteplici canali. Art Nova 100 continua a coltivare una comunità diversificata e ad incrementare risorse per artisti, curatori, studiosi e collezionisti, proponendosi al tempo stesso come uno strumento che aiuti gli artisti a realizzare i loro sogni. Allo stesso tempo, Art Nova 100 coordina diversi programmi di scambio internazionale e mostre nelle città di tutto il mondo. in particolare, da quattro anni la piattaforma cinese collabora con il Premio Arte Laguna attraverso un reciproco scambio: ospita i video dei 10 artisti finalisti del concorso nella mostra a Pechino durante il 2017. Gli artisti sono: Veronika Adaskova, Elena Bellantoni, Marcos Bonisson & Khalil Charif, Silvia Giambrone, Tim Gregory, Nadia Hotait & Laila Hotait, Shahar Marcus, Kid Orbino, Gary Setzer, Ben Stevenson. Art Nova 100, launched in 2011, is a high-end platform that discovers and promotes young artists, who participate in the activities of Art Nova 100: exhibitions and forums both in China and abroad, as well as a multichannel artist promotion program. Art Nova 100 continues to cultivate a diverse community and a set of resources for artists, curators, academics, and collectors, while providing a means to help young artists on the path to achieving their dreams. At the same time, Art Nova 100 coordinates many international exchange programs and exhibitions in cities worldwide. Especially, for four years the Chinese platform has been collaborating with the Arte Laguna Prize through a mutual exchange: it will host the videos of the 10 finalist artists in the competition in Beijing in 2017. Nato dal desiderio di riflettere sull'arte contemporanea e di metterne a confronto il complesso sistema con particolare attenzione all'innovazione e alla creatività delle giovani proposte e delle ricerche più mature, “Art Stays. Contemporary art production” è un centro internazionale che dal 2003 si dedica alla promozione e produzione delle arti visive. Il Festival ART STAYS, tra gli eventi più importanti del suo genere in Slovenia, ha luogo nella storica città di Ptuj, strategica per la sua posizione geografica di collegamento con tutto l'Est e l’Europa Centrale. Grazie alla creazione di sempre nuove sinergie con artisti, curatori internazionali, gallerie, musei ed altre istituzioni culturali pubbliche e private, ART STAYS offre un programma intenso di mostre, happenings, laboratori, residenze e conferenze. La XV edizione dal titolo NATUR-AL(L) sarà dedicata a temi come evoluzione della terra, manipolazione, distruzione, paesaggi che evocano la terra, crepe, foreste, fenditure, metamorfosi del luogo e del tempo, dei linguaggi e delle realtà che li determinano. Sulla base di quest’ultima idea abbiamo scelto di premiare in collaborazione con il Premio Arte Laguna i “paesaggi di luce” dell’artista giapponese Noriko Obara.
Il Premio Speciale “OPEN PDG Arte Communications” è assegnato a un finalista della sezione Scultura e Installazione nell’ambito del Premio Arte Laguna 16.17 e dà la possibilità al vincitore di partecipare alla ventesima edizione di OPEN Esposizione Internazionale di Sculture ed Installazioni. Ideata e curata da Paolo De Grandis, co-curata da Carlotta Scarpa, OPEN è organizzata da PDG Arte Communications e la sua lunga storia ha visto la partecipazione di più di novanta Paesi, cinquecento artisti e centocinquanta curatori di fama internazionale. Si apre ogni anno per lo spettatore un nuovo percorso, sempre inedito, nel mondo dell’arte contemporanea, un nuovo allestimento all’aperto e una nuova riflessione sui linguaggi dell’arte. La giuria selezionatrice ha scelto di premiare Phil Akashi per il suo linguaggio inedito e innovativo, generato dall’incontro tra Oriente e Occidente. L’uso metaforico di segni complessi e profondamente connotati danno vita ad un’estetica elegante ed immediata ma al contempo estremamente complessa, che custodisce una profonda riflessione e restituisce una suggestione interculturale, dove il segno diventa apertura alla conoscenza e abbatte limiti geografici e temporali.
Born from the desire to reflect on contemporary art and its complex system, paying particular attention to the innovation and creativity of both young artists and more mature research, "Art Stays. Contemporary art production" is an international center that since 2003 is dedicated to the promotion and production of the visual arts. The ART STAYS Festival, among the most relevant events of its kind in Slovenia, takes place in the historic town of Ptuj, strategically located at the connection with the entire Eastern and Central Europe. Thanks to the constant creation of new synergies with artists, international curators, galleries, museums and other public and private cultural institutions, ART STAYS offers a varied program of exhibitions, happenings, workshops, residencies and conferences. The 15th edition, entitled NATUR-AL(L) will be dedicated to the themes of evolution of the earth, its manipulation and destruction, landscapes that evoke the earth, cracks, forests, slits, metamorphoses of place and time, of the languages and realities that determine them. Based on this latter idea, we have chosen to award in collaboration with the Arte Laguna Prize the "landscapes of light" by Japanese artist Noriko Obara.
The Special Prize "OPEN PDG Arte Communications" is awarded to a finalist from the Sculpture and Installation section at the Prize Arte Laguna 16.17 and gives the winner the opportunity to participate in the twentieth edition of OPEN International Exhibition of Sculptures and Installations. Conceived and curated by Paolo De Grandis and co-curated by Carlotta Scarpa, OPEN is organized by PDG Arte Communications and its long history has seen the participation of more than ninety countries, five hundred artists and one hundred and fifty curators of international renown. Every year a new path opens up to the viewer in the contemporary art world, a new setting-up outdoors, and a new reflection on art languages. The selecting jury has chosen to award Phil Akashi for his original and innovative language, generated by the encounter between the East and the West. The metaphorical use of complex signs with deep connotations create an elegant, immediate aesthetics which at the same time is extremely complex. This aesthetics in fact enshrines a deep reflection and expresses intercultural suggestions, where the sign becomes openness to knowledge and breaks down geographies and time limits.
