My names is JC Pieri, 25 years old, video maker and self-thought director, I have a master degree in Financial management and sport at Kedge Business School, co-founder of WATSA festival but also Pro BMX rider. Your style I am passionate about image in general, but obviously more toward the video, which BMX drove me into. After filming action sport for several years, I went on the path of doing other project such as shorts, institutional, wedding, musical clip or advertisement. What I am trying to do is to find my own style, without copying anyone else work. For me it is important to progress around what you like and following your own experience. Your equipment All what I film is with the Canon EOS 1 Dc. To me this camera is the perfect balance for my way of filming and editing. There is nothing wrong with slow-mo, it is just that My aesthetics goes more towards cinema than real action sport filming. The ergonomic, the ease of use and the unmatched image quality of the 1Dc is what fits my needs the most. I also have a Movi gimbal-stabilizer, a Dj2 drone, and other stuff such as my Canon 50mm F1.4 cinema prime that never quits me. Your goal I’d like to be in the movie industry. I like to tell stories to people, to film them and to give them birth. No matter what I do, I will always try to do project where the artistic side of the image making is present. Best memory For the 60 years anniversary of my dad, I took him to a 8 day trip in Vietnam, and that was an opportunity to learn a lot of things from the people we met and experience we had over there. It gave me the opportunity to film a short documentary about this trip, liked and shared by BBC in Vietnam.
