I believe that I can be an asset to any program as I have a commitment toward the principles of quality client service. I do communicate effectively. This is reflected in all my roles as a service provider. I have years of experience in providing quality customer service. I have been a reliable employee essentially serving the public for thirty years in my varied roles in area health. I am a registered nurse, midwife and am currently employed in the community as a Child and Family Health Nurse. In each of these roles my service aims to meet the needs of the public effectively and sensitively. In my role as a student at TAFE, I believe that I have been respectful of my peers and their art- making. I have enjoyed my years there. Throughout my current employment service, the various needs of many cultures are addressed. These skills can only be developed through education and experience as many scenarios are very individual. Well-developed interpersonal skills have been essential in all my roles whether in delivering a service or working with peers. Conflict resolution is essential in the provision of quality service and where difficult customers can be a challenge, I believe that I have the capacity to negotiate in varied circumstances. I believe that I have the ability to develop productive working relationships having been exposed to many differing situations over the years whether it is external or internal. In my present employment, I have knowledge of and commitment to organisational values and participative practices. I believe that I can be relied upon to maintain work practices effectively in my workplace. I believe that I have a good understanding of OHS principles and am involved in maintenance of issues of safety in my current position. Recently, I completed the Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts at St.George TAFE. Due to financial constraints I have been working part-time and have been completing the diplomas part-time as well. This has been beneficial as attending the college over six years has had me involved in several exhibitions from the development of concepts to the final stages of exhibition. In my current position, I see myself as a participant of a multi skilled team environment. We provide a service to meet the needs of our consumers. Consumers have provided positive feedback acknowledging my contribution.

Now, I am eager to expand my skills encompassing art and health as I am a firm believer that art leads to good health physically and psychologically.
