Controller HST-ETC - Easy Touch Control Controller for screwdrivers and rivet setting tools The Easy-Touch-Control System HST-ETC) o ers a ma imum of flexibility for the documentation of your production. No matter if you need documentation of screwing, riveting or setting blind rivet nuts, HST-ETC has a matching solution. Also a combination of some fastening technologies is not a problem. For example the setting of a blind rivet nut can be monitored first, before the monitoring of the inserted screw follows.

A wireless communication between tools and controller through radio 6 MHz or Wi-fi 2.4 / 5 GHz guarantees a flexible usage without disturbing cables.

The HST-ETC can be programmed with customer specific work sequences, e.g. before starting the process a serial number needs to be entered or scanned. All process data collected will be summarized in an xml-file and can be stored locally, forwarded to an IT/quality system or a LC.

Software HST-Tool-Manager Programming software for HST-Technik Power Tools The HST-Tool-Manager allows the quick and easy parameterization of HST Power Tools. In addition to the general settings such as signal tones, LED indicators and monitoring settings, the process relevant parameters e.g. at the TorqBee® PRO-M such as torque / angle of rotation / speed / number of screw levels / number of connections can be set with the HST-Tool-Manager. The settings are saved in the tool, but they can also be saved locally on a PC as backup.

The software is a very user-friendly application. It is self-explanatory and does not require any intense training. The chart and the statistics can be opened with a mouse-click after connnecting the tool. All statistic parameters can be imported easily into Excel for further processing. With a backup file you can change the settings without a direct contact to the tool. So the settings can be checked easily. Also you can send them e.g. via E-Mail.

A firmware update of the power tools is done fast and easy via the USB-port. Also you can export / import some or all settings of the tool. So it´s easy to clone some tools. Different user profiles (user, administrator, calibrator), have different rights to change settings.

Furthermore, the HST-Tool-Manager offers a print function with which the settings can be printed and documented as a PDF. In addition, the HST-Tool-Manager offers the opportunity to archive all data in XML format. In addition to setting the process parameters, the software also offers the opportunity to analyze recorded process data.

Charts and overview tables for the fastening results can be read and documented by the tool‘s memory via PC and USB cable.

When reading a tool, the HST-ToolManager will automatically store a tool backup. At the reading and saving process of settings the program makes automatically a shadow copy.

The „Language-Select-System“ (LSS), which has been registered for a patent, offers the world‘s only possibility for changing the language of the software directly without a restart or reinstallation of the software.

The administrator can choose which languages the user group can select. Thanks to the user groups all rights and setting can be managed.

Furthermore, the screwing parameters required in each individual program are stored so that up to 90 different fastening situations can be mapped in a tool.

Oil pulse tools EYP series Torque shut-off precision also while supply air

The unique design of HST-EYP pulse tools, combining pulse unit and air shut-off mechanism, provides the most excellent accuracy of shut-off torque while supply air pressure fluctuates between 4 bar and 6 bar or more. While generating a pulse, some amount of high pressure oil is going through the internal oil passage (tunnel) in the wall of the anvil and flows into the oil chamber through the check valve orifice.

When the supplied air pressure goes down, the rotation of the air motor slows down and simultaneously, the number of pulses being generated becomes lower, also. As a result it takes more time to build up enough fluid pressure to activate the shut-off piston which will transmid fluid force to the air shut-off valve by way of the signal pin located in the center of the rotor.

This automatic self-controlled mechanism is called „DIRECT AIR SHUTOFF“, and it is patented. Illustration on the top shows how stable shut-off torque can be maintained even if the supplied air pressure fluctuates between 4 bar and 6 bar.

During a series of pulses, the accumulated volume of oil in the chamber keeps increasing and finally activates the shut-off piston.
