News, News, News, News, News, News... Haxey and Westwoodside Parish are busy organising events in celebration of the Queens Jubilee. Events include Concerts in Haxey and Westwoodside Halls, Church Events, Westwoodside Scarecrow Event, and Haxey Olympic Field Day. We would therefore welcome any local talent (singers, bands, drama groups, musicians) to perform in the concerts to be held on Sunday 3 June and Monday 4 June. FRIDAY 6TH APRIL GOOD FRIDAY WORKSHOP in the Church Hall commencing at 09.30 am An all ages workshop. Admission is free and is open to all children & Parents making this a really nice family get together. This will be followed with a short service of worship at 11.00 am in Church & afterwards tea/coffee/juice & lovely hot cross buns for all to enjoy.
SATURDAY 7TH APRIL EASTER EVE CEREMONIES will be held in Church from 8.00 pm SUNDAY 8TH APRIL EASTER DAY Family Communion will be held at 10.45 am followed by Easter Praise Service at 6.00 pm. MONTHLY DROP-IN/COFFEE MORNING SATURDAY 28TH APRIL Will be held in the Church Hall from 10.00 am 12.00 noon with usual stalls & raffle. Please come along and enjoy a cuppa & a chat. The Owston Ferry Society will be meeting at Coronation Hall, Owston Ferrry at 7.30pm on Wed 11th April. Maureen Hambrecht will be giving a talk titled "Unpaid & Overworked". Entrance fee £2, refreshments provided. Non members welcome.
Owston Ferry Tree & Lights Committee are holding a Coffee Morning on Thursday 12th April at the Coronation Hall. Doors open 10am; usual stalls. raffle & tombola.
