The adventurous Topher Delaney shops the 200 Lex “Sixteen floors of invention...what surprises of beauty + invention!” is how landscape architect Topher Delaney describes the New York Design Center. Delaney, who with Calvin Chin, runs a high-energy studio in San Francisco, also participated in this year’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House, turning the backyard into a peaceful—and funky—stylish retreat. “We do our best to make the world around us one of creative expression and freedom,” states the duo, and Delaney’s choices from the 200 Lex showrooms provides of ideas for expressing your own creativity for your outdoor and indoor spaces. Delaney’s projects range from public art and landscaping to private projects—the Maxville Lake Winery in Napa Valley; the Orangerie in Gothenburg, Sweden; the USF Global Exchange at the University of San Francisco; Marin General Hospital’s sanctuary garden; and both indoor and outdoor design for private residences.
