Sports - The Arnprior Juvenile Packers had a busy weekend with four playoff games in four nights. On Thursday, Feb. 27 the Arnprior Juvenile Packers began their series with a win over the Richmond Royals 8 to 3. On Friday, Feb. 28, Arnprior was at home to the visiting Osgoode Rideau Senators. The second place Senators were overwhelmed by the Packers forward line of Casey Shipman #22, Tyler Virgin #24 and the tenacity of Boden Zvonarich #9 and never recovered. The Packers won 13-2. On Saturday, March 1 the Packers were in Carp to play the West Carleton Warriors. The Packers were missing some of their key defencemen and lost a wellfought game 5-4. It was only their second loss all season. On Sunday, March 2 Arnprior was in Smith Falls to play the Bears. Smiths Falls played really well but could not beat the star trek type forceďŹ eld put up by Arnprior goaltender Mike Cheslock. He was just amazing, giving Arnprior the 8-0 win. The Packers next game in the series is Friday, March 7 at 8:30 p.m. against visiting Carleton Place.
