I don’t know how he’s ever ever going to evict me. • Sure, if you want to get your ass handed to you by my fiancé, go right ahead. • To make things worse, she hasn’t done herself any favors by constantly crying wolf. • They are sitting pretty on their Wall Street money playing God with other people’s livelihoods. • We just made up shit out of whole cloth to distract from the bad stuff we were doing. • It’s better to tell him now and nip it in the bud rather than let him get his hopes up. • Turns out there’s a door charge, too. leave well enough alone

The rating system is another major failure. Why oh why can’t you leave well enough alone? Have you sold out and don’t give a crap about your users anymore? You keep making all these weird changes that do not help at all. In fact, all they do is make things more complicated and frustrating.

Goddammit, can’t you guys leave well enough alone for once? ◾ You know very well that I have never been able to leave well enough alone, I always take it one step too far. ◾ Dude. You should have left well enough alone. You were lucky you didn't get caught following her. ◾ As a species, we humans aren’t very good at leaving well enough alone.

I’ve been painting for quite a while, but I feel like I really hit my stride this year. ◾ My boss says she doesn’t really hit her stride until after the coffee kicks in. ◾ Thankfully, we’re much closer now. Well. that’s just how it is. Life throws you a curveball every now and then. There’s no avoiding it. All you can do is stay on your toes and try not to get caught completely off guard. TROCHU JSEM POKOUŠEL OSUD • ZARAZIT TO, DOKUD TO JEŠTĚ JDE • HAPPY-ENDY, TY JÁ ÚPLNĚ ŽERU • ZADĚLÁVÁŠ SI NA VELKÉ PROBLÉMY • JE TO JEN KOSMETICKÉ ŘEŠENÍ • ZTROPIT VELKÉ HALÓ • ŠKAREDĚ NA MĚ ZHLÍŽEL • OD SAMOTNÉHO ZAČÁTKU • POŘÁDNĚ JSEM SE ROZJEL • A CO SE MÁ STÁTI, AŤ SE STANE • VALÍ SE NA TEBE JOBOVKY • BUDU MÍT NAVĚKY VYSTARÁNO

I made the mistake of not leaving well enough alone, and went back out. After a couple more drinks, I realized I was wasted. Adulthood is basically pretending to have your shit together while dealing with the many curveballs that keep coming your way. Well, it kind of feels like we’re just putting a band-aid on this problem and kicking the can down the road instead of really fixing it. To be honest, we didn’t really hit our stride until the fourth video game we worked on together. But we knocked that one out of the park. The class has been clear on this rule from the get-go. If a kid forgets their book, they get it from their locker, or grab a random one. At the time, it seemed like it would make enough of a splash in the industry that I’d be sitting pretty for the rest of my life.

Based on that call, I’m beginning to suspect that there really is no logic to any of it. They seem to simply make up these fees out of whole cloth. And before you try to convince me it’s all about saving people for you, it’s really not. It’s a power trip, plain and simple. It’s disturbing, but if we cry wolf every time there’s a shooting, we’ll lose credibility and we’ll run the risk of not being taken seriously. I never ever messed with my sister. She has a good heart and I don’t punch down. My two brothers were fair game, though. Too much of this road repair work has been patchwork—putting a band-aid on something that needs major surgery. I’ll let him wear what he wants to wear and let the chips fall where they may. It may open some people’s eyes to what he’s really like.

POKUD ZTROPÍME POVYK • TÍM SI JEN NĚCO DOKAZUJEŠ • OD PRVNÍHO MOMENTU • AŤ TO UTNU V ZÁRODKU • NEŽ SE DO TOHO POŘÁDNĚ DOSTANEŠ • VŮČI NIM JSEM ŽÁDNÉ OHLEDY NEMĚL • DO VŠEHO MUSÍM POŘÁD VRTAT • ÚPLNĚ SI TO VYCUCAJÍ Z PRSTU • A UVIDÍME, CO Z TOHO BUDE • SKUTEČNÉ PROBLÉMY SE NEŘEŠÍ • SCHYTAL STRAŠNÝ VÝPRASK • MÁMA HO ÚPLNĚ ŽERE

It takes years to hit your stride as a teacher. I mostly flew by the seat of my pants early on, and just made it up as I went along. My mom is a sucker for my brother. She’s always defending him, making excuses for him, and downplaying his many meltdowns. As it happened, the fight was over within seconds and once again karate guy got his ass handed to him. He goes on and on about politics and since I’m one of those people that can’t leave well enough alone, I always end up getting sucked in. As a new adult I’m trying to figure out what problems I have or am going to have personality-wise so I can nip them in the bud. Be open and honest right from the get-go. If they don’t accept you, then it just wasn’t meant to be, suck it up and move on.

Just when you think you have him all figured out, he throws you a curveball. You were right, the guy does contain multitudes. I ended up having to schlep all the way home because no one believed me. Let me tell you, it sure cured me of crying wolf. Now, if your parents were financially struggling while you and your sisters were sitting pretty, that would be a different story. There’s a difference between exaggerating your skills and flat out lying. Making up a college education whole-cloth is lying, no two ways about it. We’ve had ‘the talk’ by now. So when she goes overboard, I give her the stinkeye and she knows immediately I’m on to her. It’s not just you. The year 2020 has been rough for everybody. Look at me, I’m getting my ass handed to me left and right, too.

DO OSTATNÍCH SE STREFOVAT MŮŽETE • ZAMRAČÍM SE NA NI • A CO BUDE, TO BUDE • VYVOLÁVAT PANIKU • ON SI TÍM JEN NĚCO DOKAZUJE • BYLI JSTE FINANČNĚ ZA VODOU • Z TOHO NEKOUKÁ NIC DOBRÉHO • NĚČÍM TĚ ZASKOČÍ • Z ČISTÉ VODY SI VYMYSLET • HNED ZKRAJE TO UTNU • SCHYTÁVÁM TO ZE VŠECH STRAN • KDYBYCH DO VŠEHO FURT NERÝPAL

Every instinct in me is telling me that man is bad news. Would I be overstepping the mark if I went and reported him to the authorities?

I don’t get it. How can the U.S. golf team, with so much talent, keep getting their ass handed to them by European players?

Think of it this way. Nick is on a power trip. The reason he throws his weight around is because he has nothing else going on in his life.

It’s the fifth time our AC broke. This time we finally got them to actually replace the broken item instead of just putting a band-aid on it.

How come Muslims are such special little snowflakes who can’t have their feelings hurt, but everyone else is fair game? If anything fell through, I’d be stuck twiddling my thumbs. No, I’d rather pack my schedule full and let the chips fall where they may. I can’t believe I did it again. If I had just kept my damn mouth shut and left well enough alone, we wouldn’t be in this mess. I think I have already covered this elsewhere, but let me swoop in and nip this in the bud before I get asked the same question a dozen more times.

Calm down, both of you. Everything that happened was totally above board. You’re just creating drama from whole cloth. This particular driver likes to go on a bit of a power trip, putting his stop sign out even when there are no kids around. Mom doesn’t approve of Bryan. She doesn’t want me dating him. She thinks he’s bad news and I’d be better off without him. I thought life had thrown me a curveball that day. But maybe it actually did me a favor. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

POŘÁDNĚ JÍ TO ZAČALO ŠLAPAT • ŽE JE TAKHLE VÁLCUJÍ • NEPOŽÍVÁŠ ŽÁDNÉ OCHRANY • HNED OD PRVNÍHO DNE • RÁD SI POSILUJE SEBEVĚDOMÍ • PŘINESE TO JEN SAMÉ PROBLÉMY • ÚPLNĚ Z NIČEHO SI VYTVÁŘÍTE • JEN TO NĚJAK ZALEPILI • ŠKAREDĚ SE NA MĚ PODÍVALI • PŘICHYSTAL MI PĚKNOU PODPÁSOVKU • JSEM BLÁZEN DO HEZKÉ POKOŽKY • A BUDEŠ MÍT VYSTARÁNO

You make the bed you lie in. If you choose fame over peace of mind, you’re fair game. The second you went on a reality TV show, you put a target on your back. The house sounds like it’s worth a lot. If you sell it and buy a new place outright, you’ll be sitting pretty with no drama. I would have gotten even more stuff if Mom and Dad didn’t keep giving me the stink-eye every time I grabbed something off the shelf. I’m a sucker for good skin, and your acne and scars just bother the hell out of me looks-wise. But you’d be a stunner with makeup. Nicola spent her 20s figuring out who she really was. She didn’t hit her stride until her mid-30s. I can relate to that, sure. From the get-go, Mark was very protective of the script. Trying to get him to change anything was like pulling teeth.
