Who were Ya?

Fran Ochoa

It’s been a time of delicate negotiations as we try to ship out a few players to make room for a few new signings. Fran Ochoa, an attacking midfielder has arrived from Guijuelo to fill the role about to be vacated by Victor Bravo. It seems the club are pushing him kicking and screaming out of the door, and his agent is talking to a couple of teams. Going in the opposite direction striker German is off on loan again and midfielder Abel also made his debut for Guijuelo last weekend. Paco Borrego a 26 year old central defender had agreed to join us from San Fernando but it looks like it's fallen through. This would have meant defensive cover for Ayoze Placeres, who has finally agreed a loan deal with CD Marino. Another rarely used defender Amado looks likely to be leaving as well. Sad to see Josmar Zambrano released but CDT haven’t enough confidence in him, very talented though a bit lightweight. Josmar has signed for Recreativo de Huelva and is being loaned out to San Roque in Group 4. Another striker would be handy, but Leandro, the whiz kid winger from Ibarra has chosen the Pios ahead of us – silly boy. If we don’t find another striker, what will happen if suspensions or injuries occur as the season continues? We have 4 days left until the window closes.

Rayo. Aragoneses took his time taking a goal kick in injury time, ral against this annoyed the small band of travelling Tenerife fans behind the El Gene and goal. They wanted CDT to go all out for the win, whilst Sergio appeared A strange incident took place towards the end of last Sunday`s match

to be more than happy with the draw. Words were exchanged apparently, not really what you would expect for a team clear at the top of the table. I suppose it all depends on what type of supporter you are. Personally I do not disagree with Sergio´s tactics. A "safe" away draw followed by a home win could be good enough, but having said that, Real Oviedo (who are surely our main rivals) are now nicking away wins. If, they grab the lead they will be hard to shift and they have been boosted by new signings as funds come in from Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. I will have to change my mind set slightly and say we must play more attacking football, and go for away wins in the next few weeks even if it means perhaps losing. Today we are privileged to have members of Andy Glover's family on the coach. The influence that guy still has on us all is immense, even one year on. Actually I probably do not swear so much these days but apart from that not a day passes without something reminding me of him (even if it is an episode of Alf Garnett!).
