rom the moment the receptionist greets you with a smile, Nyack Ridge feels more like a neighborhood than a nursing and rehabilitation center. The residents are happy, the staff are extremely helpful and courteous and the administrators know everyone by name. “This is their home, and we want them to feel like it,” explained Michael Braunstein, one of the owners and operators of Nyack Ridge which has 160 beds. Michael and his staff do everything possible to ensure that Nyack Ridge is always full of “smiley, happy people.” Braunstein, a self-described “nursing home brat,” has been in the business a long time. His parents and grandparents operate nursing homes of their own, and Michael is very familiar with the industry. He and his staff took over the facility in January of 2018 and have since redefined the place, which has been providing quality patient care for more than 40
