STORY & PHOTOGRAPHY BY TOM RILEY
Glasswork is an ancient skill, and one that very few could claim to have mastered these days. Cook’s Glass Work owner Carmen Li-Cook is considered one of those masters. The only female owner of a glass works in Rockland County, Leslie has been leading the glass industry for 28 years. She reaches a larger audience because she offers competitive prices, newer products and great customer service. “I would like to thank my wonderful customers for spreading their satisfaction of the wonderful work my craftsmen do in installing glass installations of all types,” says Carmen. “We are specialists in the installation of constructed frameless shower doors that are so popular today in modern bathrooms. Installation of these unique enclosures require a level of skill my staff has in abundance. We also do custom mirrors, tabletops, glass railings, glass flooring and stairs, window replacements, screen repairs of patio
screens and doors, re-screening, back painted glass, windows, pool surrounds and the installation of store windows and door fronts.” In addition to serving the Rockland community, Cook’s Glass Work helps clients in Manhattan, Westchester and Orange counties and Bergen County, New Jersey. Carmen’s loyal customers give her high marks for the quality of her installations, her attention to detail to ensure everything meets her client’s specifications and her wealth of knowledge. “I love educating my customers about the various glass products we offer and the innovative way glass is being used in residential and commercial construction,” says Carmen. Don’t be fooled by Big Box Mega Mall home improvement centers. They often involve a lot of waiting around for them to arrive. “Cook’s Glass Work has always been my choice in both installation and pick-up orders,” says Michael Cahill about his recent experience with Cook’s Glass
