DSZ’S MASTER BARBERS ARE A CUT ABOVE THE REST

The scent is welcoming and pleasant in D.S.Z. Barbers Inc. (DSZ) on Main Street in Nyack, thanks to the eucalyptus-infused hot towels placed over their customers’ faces after a straight razor shave. If you think grooming is just another errand, then you’ve never experienced a service from one the Master Barbers at DSZ. For trendy clipper cuts, close shaves, and fresh scissor sculpted trims, DSZ is one of the most unique barbershops in the tri-state area. At DSZ, you can get any type of haircut you like. Owner Steve Zuccato prides himself in only hiring Master Barbers who need to be able to do it all — straightedge razor shaves, scissor cuts, and close-cropped clipper cuts. It’s this versatility that, Steve believes, will sustain the DSZ brand long after the trendy clipper cuts fade, and men start asking for longer hair again. Steve’s vision for DSZ was to be more than your stereotypical town barbershop. barbers who utilize their worldly-minded techniques to keep the men of Rockland well-groomed. The barbers get along like family, creating an entertaining environment. It is a place where men and families come to socialize and take part in the barbershop banter as they have their whiskers trimmed. DSZ’s diverse team of barbers brings phenomenal skillsets from different parts of the world. Most of the DSZ barbers started their profession in their own country, brought their talent to Manhattan and are now prospering in Nyack. “Each country grooms their barbers differently and teaches different techniques,” explains Steve. “This makes the DSZ team extraordinary: our melting pot of barbers are well-rounded, with good manners, lots of talent and drive.” With its red, white and blue striped poles, dark leather and chrome chairs and straight razor shaves, DSZ sets the bar for what to expect from Rockland County barbershops.
