Zel, The Living Circus has landed and spread on the existing structure of Castle Williams in Governors Island, NYC. Through the use of smart materials, our group created a "living organism" which interacts and integrates itself with the performance and the Interior Space. We incorporated an interactive LED climbing wall and OLED screens that project the emotions of the organism by color and photoluminescent pigment in the silks. This project required 3 different circus acts to best explain our use of smart materials. This Castle will have multiple functions when the circus is not in use; ie climbing gym, exhibition space, roof party space, or theater
