Arianna Johnson JRN 371 Writing Assignment #3 Query Letter Tension. That is the first word that comes to my mind when I think about my place of work. Lately, there has been strange bickering, competitiveness that doesn’t necessarily fit, and more back-stabbing than a cheesy horror movie. Why is this so noteworthy? All of this animosity is originating from grown women. My coworkers are mostly between the ages of 40-60 and they are all behaving like high school students. After talking to multiple people in different businesses and workplaces I have found that it is extremely common for the older adults to be the instigators of drama than younger employees are. I believe that this topic is common enough for an informative article to be written regarding it. I believe Cosmopolitan is the perfect publication because most drama in the workplace is started by women (sad but true) and this article will help innocent bystanders know how to handle it while keeping their job. This article will include interviews with people that suffer from being surrounded by instigators, but I will also include bits of information from people that admit to finding themselves at the center of this kind of negative energy. Field studies will be used to demonstrate how common workplace animosity is. I believe these statistics will provide the reader with relateability and the reassurance that they are not alone in dealing with these kinds of frustrating interactions. The article will end with tips from professionals on how to serve themselves in these scenarios. While the drama is frustrating, it is still your career and it is important to conduct yourself in a professional manner. I will include a chart that shows a step by step guideline of what to do. I know I will write an incredible article because I have firsthand experience with the topic. I know it extremely well and I know the ins and outs of how to handle it. I have written
