Guestrooms honoring music’s best from Dvorak to the Beatles, and a Music Library featuring hundreds of books, CDs, and DVDs, comprise a masterful ensemble for musicloving travelers worldwide. Steps from magical Prague Castle, spectacular Royal Gardens & Charles Bridge, Hotel boasts picturesque panoramas of city’s most architecturally distinctive district. The 52-room, music-themed ARIA HOTEL made its debut in September 2003. The Aria, combining rooms and suites saluting the greatest composers and performers of all time with Prague’s rich history of culture, architecture and romance, serves as the ultimate ensemble for music-loving travelers worldwide. Set amidst the splendor of Malá Strana, The Aria is superbly located just steps from the Charles Bridge and St. Nicholas Cathedral and within walking distance of Prague Castle, the Royal Gardens, Old Town Square and other major sights. One cocktail at The Aria’s rooftop garden will leave guests with no doubt that they are in Prague’s most picturesque and prestigious quarter. Keeping in tune with the Italian Renaissance-influenced architecture of Malá Strana, was commissioned Milan based Spatium to make The Aria the most distinctive hotel in the city. Principals Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini, best known for their work with fashion legend Gianni Versace, have transformed the modest gray stone and yellow stucco complex of buildings, which once housed a theatre, into a surprising, elegant and fascinating musicalthemed setting. One of the most captivating features of the hotel is Magnoli’s sweeping floor mosaic. Reminiscent of an ancient musical score, the mosaic notes leads guests from The Aria’s entrance down an enlightened glass-domed hallway, past reception and through wrought-iron gates into the Winter Garden, where it bursts into a visual crescendo. On one end of the mosaic clef crescendo is the hotel’s waterfall fountain and on the other, its fireplace music salon. In the centre is the pride of Czech craftsmanship, a concert quality Petrof Grand Piano. “The mosaic celebrates the visual beauty of written music,” said Magnoli.

To compliment Magnoli’s floor design, was commissioned Prague´s artist Josef Blecha to continue the theme, creating bright, whimsical caricatures of each musical legend featured in the hotel to adorn the upper walls of the gallery and the guestrooms. Featuring four floors, each dedicated to a major genre of music, The Aria’s accommodations pay homage to the greatest music and musicians of all time. Guestrooms on the Contemporary, Classical, Opera and Jazz floors honor each genre’s greatest artists and composers with CD’s, art and books. Featured artists include Brahms, Bernstein for Classical; Elvis and Sinatra for Contemporary; Maria Callas and Mozart for Opera and Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong for Jazz. All guestrooms and suites include complimentary Internet access, DVD/CD players and more. A computerized music bank designed especially for the ARIA HOTEL allows guests to access a brief biography as well as a selection of music of the featured artist. Providing additional luxury for guests are rich wool carpet featuring a musical note design, Frette bathrobes and Molton Brown bath products. Bathrooms feature Chilean granite heated floors with inlaid glass mosaic and polished granite countertops, all accented by rich mahogany shelving and, of course, speakers for piping in music or television. The enjoyment and celebration of music is amplified elsewhere at the ARIA HOTEL as well. Guests can read books on music and select pieces to listen to in the Music Library. The Music Box provides an intimate entertainment chamber with high definition plasma screen for up to seven. The cozy Music Salon features a striking wood-burning fireplace and rich distressed leather seating where guests may enjoy after dinner drinks by the fire. In addition, a private screening room featuring state-of-the-art technology including Wilson’s speakers accommodates up to 30 and shows screenings of music performances from the Aria’s archives. The screening room, the Music Box and the executive conference room are available for private parties and offer business capabilities including videoconferencing, ideal for filmmakers and other business people. An added bonus, Prague-born Dr. Ivana Stehlíková, the hotel’s musical director boasting a PhD in musicology, serves as the guests Ambassador of Music, assisting guests with recommendations on the city’s cultural events and suggesting music from her library for guests to enjoy in their room or elsewhere at the hotel. The Winter Garden atrium is the “breath of life, or ‘aria,’ of the hotel”. The lush, luxurious setting of palm trees, fruit vases, rattan furnishings, chaise lounges, a grand piano and a waterfall provides a lavish

backdrop for refreshments and entertainment. Skylights fill the hotel’s gallery and Winter Garden with sunshine by day, and at night guests can spend magical evenings as though beneath Prague’s city lights and twinkling stars. For an exceptional dining experience, The Aria offers CODA Restaurant, under the direction of Chef David Šašek. In addition, the hotel features an executive conference room, a 24-hour business center, 24-hour room service, a fitness club with sauna and massage services, and a 30-car parking garage.
