My name is Ariadna López, born and living in Barcelona. I am studying industrial design engineering in ELISAVA, where I’m doing the 4t course. I am very happy to recognize that I love what I am studying /doing. I think I could not have took a better way for my life. It is a world in which you can dream while keeping your feet on the floor. Improve the world and the life of the people with design and engineering is in your hands, and this is really exciting. Discover how a product can change lives. To date I have worked in two places being an internship, that has helped me to continue my education on other ways that the university don’t teaches you. What I want is to continue learning day by day how a profesional. When I finish my career, my plans are going to work in a company or in a study to keep learning and no forget the knowledge learned during the studies. In the future I want to live abroad to work and interact with different people.

SELECTION OF MY STUDENT WORK FURNITURE
The central bar is the object that drives the weight of the shelves to the floor and the ceiling. It has a intern studied shape: with fewer nerves get the maximum force. The exterior form is where the shelves and unions will be fixed. ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION 4mm thickness
This shape fits with the bar and is fixed when the user put. This piece needs a little bit of force. To put them in the bar only is necessary to sepparate a little bit the two “c”. Is PP so it will yeld. PP INJECTION 2mm thickness The shelves are made of two plates welded perpendicularly, forming a 90º angle. The two plates are bend. BRIEFING Our objective was making a modular furniture system with a easy-to-use joining method.We thought about circular shelves as we could manage to put them either in front of the wall or in a corner.

The furniture we wanted to do with the system of unions was a shelf, a very versatile shelf: we wanted to give it a round shape. The shelf is composed of a central bar that is connected with the floor and the ceiling with brackets to hold their balance. At the bar are anchored the surrounding shelves that may be in 6 possible directions. But with this conformation is very limited the location that the user can put the shelf (required a fairly wide space) so we decided to make possible to support the shelf on the wall, being a semicircle. With that way, the shelf could be placed in several areas of higher rank sizes. But we didnâ€™t have enough, we also wanted that the shelf can make a table (in fact is typical in living rooms or dining rooms) so we create another conformation of furniture facility: installing two shelves separated by a certain distance, you could join the two surfaces of the shelves with a glass plate and create a plan to put, for example, television or what the user wants. So we ended up conceiving three different positions.

LA TORRADORA BRIEFING “La Torradora” is a project of creation and simulation of a toaster.
EXPLANATION The toaster comes from the concepts of plegability and sustainability , without losing sight of functionality and aesthetic forms . Based on the context in which we stand today , where the floors are getting smaller , or become smaller as much people occupied the space is quite a delicate issue . The toaster has always been apart of our problems , taking infinite space above cabinets or shelves .With the toaster , attempting to solve this problem by folding of its two parts.

Also think about people living alone , or those living in houses which are almost the only ones who use a toaster at home. In this case, the toaster offers the possibility to prepare toast just leaving no empty space, and consume only half the power , because the part that is not used will remain off until it’s expand. Finally, the toaster is something our own, and how many catalans have ever bought a toaster and a one-man fast night could not get a good “pa de pagès” ? These parts are specifically designed for children with this type of desease. It geometry is big and consistent in order to help the children to subject it. This functionality is very intuitive and the guide in the head is enought big to put it with facility.

MDUDU BRIEFING The first aim of the Project was to design equipment for the rehabilitation of motor deficient people.
Children with this desease always need a person who helps them, a monitor or a physiotherapist. This people is who install the game.
EXPLANATION First of all we had to analyse ways to rehabilitation practices for specific body parts with adjustable ergonomy . Our objective was to create an innovative idea which can be carried out to a physical form with credibility and mechanical foundation. Concluded upon a careful study of human behaviours in relation to their problem. Furthermore this exercise provides a method of expand creative thinking and communication to solve a problem with grace, and physical communication of form. Communicate the objective of the solution in visual terms and create a compelling story. This project has a particular emphasis on generating a global sense of functionality with styling and play pattern.
The module inside, is empty, and this has a few considerable dimensions, for this reasib you can use it to store other objects. ARIADNA LÓPEZ
The project consists of a modular worm, with possibility of infinite length, where the child slips above, imitating rebound that is obtained in the movement of the horse. The most important parameters of the product are the senses as the tact (using different textures, the sight (using showy colors), the heard one with the sound of the sleighbells of the antennas, the coordination and overcoat the auto overcoming and satisfaction of the user.
