Puzzle in Puzzle This is a puzzle within a puzzle, featuring imagery by photographer KangHee Kim. In her images, mirrors are used to interrupt a scene, adding mystery to an ordinary situation. We’ve designed a custom puzzle shape to highlight the image-within-an-image, creating two different puzzles that can be completed separately or together.

About the project Puzzle in Puzzle uses imagery by photographer by KangHee Kim from her series titled, Mirror. The Mirror series was taken in New York, LA, and Colorado while she was working on staff at VSCO. In 2014, she began carrying a small mirror everywhere she went. Its reflective nature created a whole realm of possibilities within the images she constructed. Speaking about the project Kim says, “I like to think that if you look at the world from a slightly different perspective – both literally and metaphorically – you will find small pleasures in observing everyday life.”

KangHee Kim b. 1991 is a South Korean photographer and artist based in Brooklyn. She has a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
