Death is my muse because it represents our deepest fear, dead people are all around us, we are already dead if you look at it in a cosmic way. The light of the stars is shining when we look at the sky but in fact, most of them are already dead when their light finally comes to us. Religion is fascinating because it creates fanaticism, but also because it has some truth in it. Occultism is a part of it. God is darker that what we think... +Inspired by blood? Blood is ambivalent, it can be seen as life but also as death when it's spread on the floor. I do those paintings in a ritualistic approach, very close to my own experiences, traumas etc. Pain is a part of the process, I cut myself with razor blades to extract my blood, it gives sense to the thematic of the painting, this is how I get the symbolism I want to give. I'm not a so called “artist... By saying that, it means my art is not eternal in any way, it is just expression of my mortal feelings. Blood rots, it becomes brown as death, just like us. Why should we try to be remembered forever? Everything ends, it's a long process but inevitable. Art just makes it more acceptable.
