TRANSPORT: Standards for Road The minimum road standard proposed in Structure plan are as follows: Main Road 24.0 m (78 ft.) Arterial Road 14.5 m (47.5 ft.) Collector Road 13.0 m (42.6 ft.) Access Road 9.0 m (29.5 ft.) Access Road 6.0 m (19.7 ft.) Non Motorized Road 4.0 m (13.0 ft.) Footpath 2.5 m (8.2 ft.) Considering Structure Plan and other standards DAP consultants proposes the following road standards Detailed Plan areas:

NATURAL ENVIRONMENT Topography: Flat Water bodies: Gulshan-Banani lake Climate tropical (micro) Three distinct seasons: Summer (March to May), Monsoon (June to October), and Winter (November to February) Sunshine hours: March has the highest percentage of sunshine hours. The cloudy sky during the monsoon greatly reduces the sunshine hours. Temperature: Three is wide seasonal variation of temperature at Dhaka & the mean maximum temperature prevails in late March and April and ranges from 91° F to 96° F. The lowest temperature is about 52° F. and minimum is reached in January. Wind: The prevailing winds in Dhaka are change with seasons. During the winter and dry months, The prevailing wind is generally from the North and South.

Vertical Shading device on west facade The Shading Devices in each building is designed considering both southern and western sun for west/east facades, vertical shading devices are designed and verandahs are provided with bedrooms. for south facades horizontal shading devices are used as well as the vertical ones to ensure proper protection from the sun.

the dimensions are based upon these rules: for horizontal shading, D=7/16H, where, D=depth of shading H=height of window For vertical shading, D=1.5S, where s=spacing of vertical fin The shading devices are expressed in the unit plans in such a way that they shift their location every 4-5 floors. This is made to scale down the highrise building.

REHABILITATION CENTER FOR AGED PEOPLE AT PANCHAGARH Old age is the final stage of the normal life span of human being and is also called senescence in human beings. Old age is frequently defined as 60years or older. People are considered old because of certain changes. Old age is related to aging . old age has been divided into various groups : biological Ageing :changes occurring in the structure&function of human body Physiological ageing :concerned with individual & behavioral changes Emotional ageing :changes in one’s life style &attitude Functional ageing :comparison of individuals of the same group within the group being unable to maintain their function in society. Population ageing will be the most prominent demographic trend of the new millennium. The advancement of medical science and increased awareness among the people has also brought about a sharp decline in mortality and a steady decline in fertility. This has resulted worldwide to a significant increase in the aged population In Bangladesh people may be considered old when they become grant parents or when they begin t o do less or different types of works.65is the retirement age by the government which was 60before.

stomach ache followed by asthma, blood pressure ,diabetes , cardiac ,eye and dental problems, mental disorder, malnutrition. after retirement loneliness ,depression due to death of spouse, tension & stress. Eco Resort, where luxury blend with nature. It is low-impact and low-volume tourism that tries to minimise the environmental impacts of the tourists, by involving local people, providers and resources and by keeping profits within the local area. It does not damage the environment, ensuring that the natural resources of the area are there for future generations to enjoy

Proposed site, Total area 10 acre

Tetulia is the extreme northern area of the country. For its location & tourist spot, it is one of the well known area in Bangladesh. Recently Tetulia is considered the most important economic zone for Panchagarh district because of the Tea industry and Banglabandha land port. we can see the ice mountain peak “kanchanjanga� from tetulia. we can enjoy the freezing weather at winter in tetulia and the small rivers.
